GPC opens plant in China

GPC Electronics has set up a factory to manufacture electronic products in Southern China.
This will add to the existing factory locations in Christchurch, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. This facility provides customers with another option from which to source their products. GPC Electronics' plants in Sydney and Christchurch will continue to provide manufacturing services for products which are complex, or where demand is volatile. The operation in China will focus on products that are more price sensitive, and where the manufacturing location is less critical. The factory will be co-located with the facilities of sister company, Utilux South China, about one hour from Hong Kong. Supply of customer products will be managed seamlessly regardless of manufacturing location.
