Multidisplay to start production in Czech again

Czech based company Multidisplay which previously was LG.Philips Displays will start producing this week after a six-month shutdown.
The company will switch the production from cathode ray tubes to LCDs. Multidisplay will produce LCD panels for foreign brands. At the moment the company has three clients, according to Remon Vos, co-owner of CTP Invest. Remon Vos purchased the plant for €40 million from the receiver of its bankrupt parent company in February 2007, CBW said. In 2010 the plant expects to employee 1900 people. In six weeks the company will sign an agreement with companies from Taiwan, U.S. and Germany. CTP Invest plans to build more production halls, for a investment of € 10 million.
