Rutronik and Samsung in strategic agreement

Rutronik and Samsung has signed a memorandum covering passive component requirements for next year.
The agreement ensures that Rutronik will be supplied as a preferential customer, which means that it can ensure reasonable lead times for its own customers over the long-term, even though there is likely to be a shortfall of such components on the market.

A franchise partnership for passive products has been in existence with Samsung since the middle of 1996. This agreement has been reached against the backdrop of the expected increase in requirements for MLCCs (multilayer ceramic capacitors), tantalum capacitors, resistors and other special passive components. The importance of this agreement was underlined by the presence of representatives of the two companies.
