Fire at Sanmina-SCI’s Huntsville plant

On Tuesday night firefighters battled a transformer fire the Sanmina SCI plant in south Huntsville.
The fire started in the facility's power plant. It was called in approximately at 8 p.m. as an explosion at the electronics manufacturing plant at 13000 South Memorial Parkway.

Witnesses that was in the area saw flashes from the transformers. According to the firefighters it was some transformers that caught fire, al reported. What caused the fire is under investigation. HEMSI paramedics were present at plant in case of a possible explosion.
