Flextronics closes UK plant

Singapore based EMS provider, Flextronics plans to close a manufacturing site in Northern Ireland.
55 people will lose their jobs when Flextronics closes its plant in Newtownabbey, County Antrim in Northern Ireland. The plant was originally part of Canadian telecom firm Nortel, which is the main customer at the plant. However the contract with Nortel had recently ended forcing Flextronics to close the plant, local media reported.
