German PCB market slows in

According to the latest report from ZVEI and Vdl, the growth in the German printed circuit board market slowed down in July due to fierce competition from China.

Germany’s PCB revenues for July was down compared in the previous month, and likewise compared to the same month last year. Less than 60 percent of the expected annual turnover was achieved in the first half of the year. Incoming orders in July was 10% lower than July 2006. The first half of 2007 was down 7% in terms of incoming orders compared with the same period in 2006. PCB makers still consider the period among the best since the year 2000.
