Flextronics in talks with RF-design firm

According to rumours stated by Swedish electronics magazine “Elektroniktidningen”, Flextronics Design AB is in merger talks with local Swedish RF-design specialist, Wavebreaker AB. Acording to Elektroniktidningen, the deal is expected to close within a month. However, Mr. Claes Winzell, CEO, Flextronics Design Sweden, deny the merger talks between the two companies. He claims that he has never heard of any company named Wavebreaker before. Wavebreaker develops and commercializes circuit and system solutions for next generation’s short-range wireless data communication systems (WLAN). The company helps customers in the semiconductor business to integrate advanced radio technology into their products. Wavebreaker was started in 2004, as a result of discussions between swedish research institute Acreo, partners, and people in leading positions at Acreo Socware Center. Wavebreakers currently have 15 employees.
