Foxconn sues Battery Maker over violations
Taiwanese EMS Giant Foxconn, has filed a lawsuit against battery-producer BYD in Hong Kong for IP violations.
According to Foxconn, BYD has received confidential information from its former employees which has caused big losses for Foxconn. In addition, Foxconn has also sued a number of BYD's employees for providing their employee with confidential information about Foxconn.
BYD and a number of its subsidiaries enabled former employees of Foxconn affiliate company Shenzhen Futaihong Precision Industry Company and Foxconn sister company Hong Fu Jin Precision Industry Co. Ltd, to obtain confidential business information of Foxconn. This was reported by ChinaTechNews.
