Solectron earns Redbox Award

The award honors companies that have delivered superior quality and value to the Redbox manufacturing and supply chain, driving the development, production and placement of Redbox DVD kiosks in the nation's leading grocery stores, McDonald's restaurants and other locations nationwide. Launched in 2002, Redbox is revolutionizing the DVD rental industry with a combination of numerous locations and $1 per-night pricing. In 2005, Solectron collaborated with Redbox to design and manufacture a new family of DVD rental kiosks, including complete Level 5 system integration and fulfillment to Redbox's end customers. By outsourcing design and manufacturing to Solectron, Redbox was able to focus on technology innovation that meets end user requirements, grow its retail presence and manage customer relationships.
