German PCB orders jumped 55%<br>sequentially in January

Germany's PCB sales in January 2007 grew by 5 percent compared to the same period last year, according to VdL and ZVEI.

The increase is seen to have been driven by the higher number of working days in the month, as compared to the previous month of December 2006. Meanwhile, incoming orders are up 55 percent compared to December, but down 3 percent year-on-year. The Book-to-Bill ratio, on the other hand, has increased to 1.09. As to the workforce, the number of employees in the PCB sector increased by 3 percent in the period of January 2007 compared to December 2006.
