WEEE Guide published by UK Government
A Guidance Document has been published by the UK DTI for implementation of the WEEE Directive in the UK.
The Guide is an 80-page document with all the details for the UK WEEE legislation and also information how EEE producers are expected to comply.
The UK was the last member state to officially adopt the WEEE legislation and has been criticised for its lateness.
On 15th March 2007 is the deadline for UK producers to join a PCS compliance scheme.
The first WEEE compliance period will start to run from 1st July to 31st December 2007.
