Samsung picks Slovakia for LCD plant

Samsung will invest €400 million to build a LCD plant in Slovakia.
Samsung picked Slovakia over Hungary for the contract, said two people, who declined to be identified. The company will receive the maximum amount of government aid allowed by European Union rules. Samsung's investment will probably prompt the company's suppliers to build plants in the country too.
Samsung already makes television sets and audio equipment at a plant in south-western Slovakia, local media reports.
