Engineers develop eco-friendly<br>PCB production technique
Engineers have developed an eco-friendly method of producing printed circuit boards (PCBs) that are an integral part of all electronic appliances, the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology said Thursday.
The state-run institute said a team led by Kang Kyung-tae has devised a new manufacturing system that produces multi-layer, flexible, printed circuit boards by borrowing techniques used by inkjet printers. It said the method "sprays" copper pathways onto a non-conductive substrate, forming the basis of a PCB.
