Stena, Safina in Czech JV
Stena Metall and Safina have formed a joint-venture in the Czech Republic regarding electronics recycling.
The joint-venture is called Stena/Safina. The main objective for this operation will be electronics recycling according to the European WEEE directive (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
The new company Stena/Safina a.s. will have three locations - Vestec, Brno and Sadska - in the Czech Republic with its headquarters in Vestec/Prague.
SAFINA's main manufacturing facilities are located in the Czech Republic and China; other representative daughter-companies are headquartered in Slovakia, Poland, and Romania.
Stena currently recycles electronics at its own plants in eight European countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Austria, Germany and Czech Republic.
