Promation Introduces Bottom<br>Side Screw Fastening Robot
Promation Inc., specializing in Production Line Integration, PCB handling solutions and Robotic Assembly Solutions, introduces the AST-700, bottom-side screw fastening work cell.
AST-700 is designed to offer manufacturers the ability to selectively fasten components using screws from the bottom side after odd-form placement. The work cell uses a bowl-style feeding system with blow feeder to automatically present and drive screws into the desired locations. This high-precision robotic gantry system offers fully programmable X, Y & Z motion with in-line conveyor, positive PCB stop location/clamping, and programmable fastening locations.
The screwdriver system incorporates a second chance feature with screw detection and purge function to prevent false error. While a variety of different drivers may be designed into the work cell, HIOS drivers and Nitto Seiko and standard.
