Jabil plant aerospace certified

The AS9100 certification is the aerospace industry's quality system standard developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group for quality assurance in design, new product introduction, manufacturing, and servicing. The AS9100 standard -as its European equivalent EN9100- was developed to help aerospace companies ensure their suppliers meet stringent standards for product design, development, production, installation and servicing. It is based on ISO 9001:2000 but includes approximately 80 additional requirements and 18 amplifications of the aerospace industry in terms of quality, safety, and reliability. EN9100AS/EN9100 addresses both civil and military aviation and aerospace needs. Livingston is Jabil's sixth 9100 certified plant. The Company's Billerica, Massachusetts; St Petersburg, Florida; Tempe, Arizona; and Singapore City, Singapore plants are AS9100 certified. Jabil's Brest, France site is EN9100 certified. Billerica and Singapore also have the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) repair station status, which certifies them to provide repair and support services on products utilised in commercial aircraft.
