Toshiba to close German chip unit

Japanese chip giant Toshiba Corp has decided to close down its semiconductor plant in Braunschweig, Germany.
According to local news paper Braunschweiger Zeitung the production line in Braunschweig will be closed down during next year. 132 employees will lose their jobs. Toshiba has not yet comment on the report.
