Jenoptik to enter Russia
German based Jenoptik group has opened a plant for laser component assembling Russia.
Jenoptik runs a 300-square meter production plant and a clean room in St. Petersburgh, Russia. Jenoptik currently has seven employees at the site and some more staff will be added soon. The company believe in getting access to specialist know-how for this specific technology in Russia.
According to EETimes the laser modules produced in the plant are designed for use in sensor systems for optical distance measurement within the kilometer range. No jobs have been transferred from Germany to the new Russian plant.
