Worldwide semi equipment billings hit $8.3 billion in Q1
SEMI reports that worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached USD 8.3 billion in the first quarter of 2016.
The billings figure is 3 percent higher than the fourth quarter of 2015 and 13 percent lower than the same quarter a year ago. The data is gathered jointly with the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ) from over 95 global equipment companies that provide data on a monthly basis.
Worldwide semiconductor equipment bookings were USD 9.4 billion in the first quarter of 2016. The figure is 2 percent lower than the same quarter a year ago and 5 percent higher than the bookings figure for the fourth quarter of 2015.
