PCB market in December seasonally weak

Cumulatively, sales figures for 2015 were down by 3.6 percent compared to the previous year, according to industry association ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems. Order intake for the last month of 2015 exceeded that of December 2014 by 35.4 percent. Such a high result for a December month was last seen back in 2009. One of the reasons were postponed order spikes, which had a dramatic effect on a 'short' December. The book-to-bill ratio rose to 1.39. The number of employees also increased by 3.3 percent (compared to December 2014). This was the highest employment rate for a December month over the last five years. © ZVEI
