PCB market slows in August 2015
Sales figures reported by German printed circuit board manufacturer fell by ten percent sequentially. Writes industry association ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems.
Compared to August last year, figures decreased by 5.7 percent. YTD, the comparison with last year looks at figures that are 3.8 percent lower.
The order intake also decreased sequentially by twelve percent. Compared to August 2014, 8.8 percent fewer orders were registered. YTD, figures are also 7.2 percent lower than those for the corresponding period of 2014.
The book-to-bill ratio reached a value of 0.97.
The number of employees backed only slightly (when compared to July 2015). Compared to August 2014, employee numbers increased by 4.3 percent.
