AMD ramps up in Dresden

AMD's Dresden 300-mm fab ramping up in line with schedule.
AMD´s ramp-up of its 300-mm wafer fab 36 is right on schedule. "Fab 36 (in Dresden, Germany) has never missed a milestone", corporate vice president Hans Deppe told EETimes. According to what Deppe told EETimes the Fab 36 will ramp up to 13,000 300-mm wafers per month by the end of this year. In the second half of 2007 AMD´s production will reach 20,000 wafers per month, according to what Deppe told EETimes.
