Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata dies at 55
Nintendo’s president, Satoru Iwata has passed away at the age of 55 due to a bile duct growth.
Nintendo has issued a short statement announcing the passing of its president Satoru Iwata.
“Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth.”
He joined Nintendo back in 2000 as a Director. In 2002 he was appointed as President as well as Representative Director. And in 2013 he took on the role as CEO of Nintendo of America Inc.
