Green light for BHS to acquire FagorMastercook

Based in Wrocław, bankrupt FagorMastercook had a rough 2014, trying to find investors – several times – in order to keep production and its employees. German BSH expressed its interest in the unit and made an offer to acquire the bankrupt company for PLN 90 million (EUR 21.5 million) back in December. A light at the end of the tunnel The Polish office of competition and consumer protection (UOKiK - Polish language) has approved the proposed acquisition of the FagorMastercook factory in Wrocław by BSH. According to the office the acquisition will not limit competition on the market as the German company will continue to face strong competition on the Polish market from other producers.
