The one to take your job
On a couple of different occasions, we've written and discussed the pros and cons of robotic automation. At the office, we all have different opinions on the matter. This time however, we all agree; this one is just scary.
It might not be – at least from what we can see – the fastest robot, maybe not even the most versatile. But the humanoid appearance, along with the arm and hand movement really gives me the creeps. I am still one of those that – at least at this stage – doesn't think that robot automation can threaten manual assembly, but if progress in robotics keeps its current momentum, then yes, it might actually be a threat.
