Asia Pacific top; EMEA in 3rd place
Not really a surprise, most electronics assemblies are being done in Asia Pacific. The Americas and the EMEA region however, can each look forward to a forecasted 3.5% growth this year.
The industry association ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems predicts a 5.4% growth for the electronics assembly market in 2014. The world market will grow from USD 744 to 784 billion.
Looking at Germany in particular, PCBs at a value of EUR 26 million will be 'populated' here in 2014; a 4.5% increase from 2013. As with all other segments discussed before, Automotive and Industrial Electronics are driving this growth.
