Celestica sees acquisition opportunities
Canadian EMS-provider Celestica Inc. sees pretty sizable outsourcing and acquisition opportunities, a spokesperson for the company told Reuters.
According to the spokes person the “organic-slash-acquisition” opportunities are right now as high as they've been over the last couple of years. Celestica currently has a substantial amount of cash and could either buy facilities from makers of OEM's, or take up production and outsource it to low-cost regions.
Celestica will help manufacturers with restructuring, the spokesperson said. Clearly, Celestica will take the business and put it where it belongs, so something should be in Mexico or should be in China, that's where they will drive it towards, Reuters reports.
