Telvent won deal with power giant

The Swedish power supplier Vattenfall chosed the Spanish IT company Telvent for supplying of remote read electricity meters. This new order is the largest so far. 300 000 electricity meters with a total value of 90 MEUR including a five year contract for maintenance and service. The first order of 100 000 electricity meters where received by the French electronics giant Actaris with the Swedish sub-supplier Senea. The second order of 150 000 units were sent to the Slovenian company Iskra which also has an option of further orders. The Spanish Telvent Energia y Medioambiente SA won this third order of 300 000 units. Telvent is cooperating with the American Echelon and the Swede-Norwegian Relacom, former Flextronics Network Services.
