Calsonic Kansei Mexicana adds Manncorp machinery
Electronic automotive component manufacturer Calsonic Kansei Mexicana S.A. de C.V., a subsidiary of Japan's Calsonic Kansei Corp., purchased two ULTIMA STR2 selective solder systems and an ULTIMA SSP selective fluxer.
The new equipment was installed by SMT equipment provider Manncorp and included full training on both operation and maintenance. Under the direction of Manncorp service technicians over the next two days, Calsonic process engineers programmed a second application and seamlessly took over full production; defect-free.
Calsonic Kansei Mexicana, whose main customer is Nissan Mexico, manufactures fully customizable instrument clusters and HVAC controls for the automotive industry. Their plants in Taiwan and Japan also use the ULTIMA systems extensively.
