SMS appoints Head of Technology

“CJ is widely regarded to be an industry expert in test development solutions, however his overall technical knowledge has broadened considerably over recent years to incorporate deep knowledge and specialisation in other technology areas such as analysing the impact that the choice of technology used within a product design has on all areas within SMS, the resulting effects on manufacturing yield and enhanced data capture systems to provide more detailed failure analysis to customers,” Managing Director Mark Goldby writes in a statement. In this new formal role Chris Johns' skills will be used in assisting SMS to attract and secure new customers by evaluating and advising on product technology, promoting SMS's technical capabilities. In turn Chris Johns' existing Test Development team will be renamed to the Test Development & Technology Dept.
