Sony Ericsson admitted<br> pirate copying issue

The problems with Chinese pirate copies of Sony Ericsson's mobile phones have increased significantly. The pirate copied mobile phones are available Asian websites.
Sony Ericsson is aware of the increasing problems and is now intensifying the hunt for the pirate manufacturers, announced Sören Just Pedersen at Sony Ericsson's PR department in Lund, to the Swedish newspaper Sydsvenska Dagbladet.

Chinese Music King produces an identical copy of Sony Ericsson's W800 with the same features but with a different software. The price is reportedly one fourth of the original price. mobile.163.com is one of the web sites that currently sells Sony Ericsson's W800.

According to World Economic Forum the market for pirate copied electronics is worth about seven percent of the total market.

Sony Ericsson doesn't want to reveal how much the company is losing to this kind of business.
