SMS electronics opens new Rework Centre

As Graham Shaw - Operations Director at SMS explains: “We have purchased Visual Inspection equipment from Vision Engineering, manual re-work stations from JBC, Metcal and Weller. In addition we have semi automatic rework stations from Zevac, PDR and SRS as well as extraction equipment from Purex and BOFA. A baking oven from MMM plus a Liquid solder pot rework station from Zevac completes our Rework Centre." All staff in the department have been trained to meet the IPC 610 standard and accredited to both IPC 7711 and 7721 for repair and re-work, a press release states.
