EC Electronics adds Assembleon equipment

EC Electronics has completed the refurbishment and expansion works at its manufacturing facility in Petrosani, Romania.

EC's Managing Director, Phil Simmonds comments :

"The investment we have made in the refurbishment and expansion project at our Romanian factory, provides us with the capacity to cope with the good growth in our busines we have experienced over the past 12 months, despite continuing global economic uncertanties."

"In particular, we have experienced a growing demand for surface mount PCB assembly. In response to this we plan to install an additional Philips Assembleon pick & place line at our Romanian factory that is scheduled to commence production at the beginning of 2013."

"We feel confident that demand will remain strong, as our existing and potential new customers continue to be attracted to our range of scalable electronic manufacturing services."
