Hanza acquires Alfaram

Contract manufacturer Hanza AB has acquired the international cable manufacturer Alfaram with factories in Finland, Slovakia and China.

The acquisition follows Hanza's expansion strategy, and after the acquisition the group turnover will reach to approx. SEK 1.3 billion (EUR 153 million) with approx. 1'100 people in six countries. "This acquisition is an important step," said Erik Stenfors, CEO Hanza. "With Alfaram we also become a leader in cabling, while expanding Hanza's international positioning." "For our customers, it's important that Alfaram becomes a part of a group with more manufacturing technologies," says Tommi Simola, Founder and Chairman Alfaram. "We have managed to grow with good profitability during the financial crisis, and with Hanza we can continue the development of a clear strategy and a broader offering."
