Disappointing figures for PartnerTech's Q4

PartnerTech’s sales for 2012 totaled EUR 262 million, a decrease from 2011 of 3%. Operating profit for the full year totaled EUR 2.8 million.

Fourth quarter sales declined from the year-ago period by 15% to EUR 64.2 million, a disappointing result. Fourth quarter of 2012
  • Net sales were EUR 64.2 million (74.5)
  • Operating earnings totaled EUR -2.1 million (3.3)
  • Profit/Loss after tax amounted to EUR -2.5 million (1.1)
  • Cash flow after investments amounted to EUR 7.7 million (11.6)
January-December 2012
  • Net sales were EUR 262 million (271.3)
  • Operating earnings totaled EUR 2.8 million (5.4)
  • Profit after tax amounted to EUR -935'055 (584'409)
  • Cash flow after investments amounted to EUR 9.3 million (13.7)
  • The equity/assets ratio was 42 percent (39) on December 31
Leif Thorwaldsson, President and CEO commented: Lower volumes were due primarily to delayed or substantially reduced demand by a number of customers in several market areas late in the quarter. Our strategy of expanding business and offering both flexibility and low-cost production in several different market areas, gives us the possibility to absorb fluctuations in the market. Nevertheless, we need to be even more flexible in order to deal with the kind of volatility that we experienced in December.
