Foxconn and its persistent problems
Around 1'000 workers at a Beijing factory belonging to Foxconn started strike actions amidst a dispute over end-of-year holiday privileges and bonuses.
The Beijing division, located in the Beijing Economic Technological Development Zone, has been operating since 2002 and employs over 15'000 workers. Regional reports suggest that the dispute continued several hours. Workers reportedly demanded clear answers regarding over-time during Spring Festival (the Chinese new year celebrations) and bonus payments.
