Spirit Circuits wins metal base PCB certification
Spirit Circuits, a UK Printed Circuit Board manufacturer, has achieved certification from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for metal base printed circuit (wiring) boards, category ZPMV2.
"This approval covers a variety of base laminates, a choice of five different solderable finishes and the option of a thermally conductive electrically insulating pressure sensitive adhesive tape, applied to the aluminium base," a press release by the company stated.
"Certification continues Spirit’s commitment to provide metal (aluminium) based PCBs that satisfy customer requirements and this latest addition to Spirit’s UL File (E109066) compliments its existing range of approved FR4 based PCBs, ensuring that Spirit remains well placed to meet customer needs for UL recognised PCBs (PWBs)".
