Sharp announces large salary cuts
Struggling TV maker Sharp plans to save 170 million USD through pay cuts to workers.
The company announced today that it would cut managers' pay by ten percent, while also halving bonuses paid. Non manager salaries would be cut by seven percent, up from the two percent cut previously agreed to in May, the company said. The cuts will be in place until September 2013.
The savings planned from the salary cuts are expected to reach 170 million USD.
