PPC Electronic is bankrupt

The Swiss company PPC Electronic has declared bankruptcy, putting 95 employees out of job.
As recently as twelve years ago the PCB manufacturer based in Cham, Switzerland, employed around 500 people. Redundancies will be made immediately and an information day for affected employees was scheduled for 13 August.

"After a long struggle we just had to accept that external factors were stronger than we were. It is particularly sad for our long-serving loyal staff; it will not be easy for them to find alternative employment as they worked in a highly specialised area, " CEO and chairman of the board of the PPC Electronic AG company, Giorgio Dognini, said according to local media outlet the Zug Post.

Dognini, said the strong Swiss franc was largely to blame for the company's trouble.
