Orbotech launches new AOI series

According to Orbotech the new Discovery series offers new improved easy-to-use features. "Discovery introduces a breakthrough approach to AOI combined with a totally new user experience," Mr. Asher Levy at Orbotech explained to PCB007.com. "It features first-ever technologies specifically developed to enable superior inspection with no trade-off between detection and false calls and to dramatically improve AOI ease-of-use. We expect this system will give our customers unparalleled AOI results never before achieved in the critical areas of operational efficiency, AOI throughput and labor cost reduction", he proceeds. Mr. Asher Levy is the President of the PCB Division at Orbotech Ltd. The new Discovery series is available in two different models. Discovery 6 for medium volume production and Discovery 8 for larger production volumes.
