Panasonic opens new SMT factory

Panasonic has started operation in a new factory to manufacture SMT equipment in Suzhou, China.
The factory, which will produce electronic component mounting system and peripherals, celebrated its opening ceremony on April 27 with about 120 participants.

The new factory is the relocated base of Panasonic Factory Solutions Suzhou Co., Ltd and is about 35,000 square meter in area - approximately three times larger than the former site.

“In the new factory, we will strengthen our development functions as well as service capability, such as a training center, an inventory for spare parts, and global procurement of parts and materials to meet customer requirements,” an article on the company's website said.
