Volvo Car to hire laid-off Nokia employees

Volvo Car Corporation will open a new development office specialising in HMI (Human Machine Interface) in Copenhagen.

The company said that HMI, which in simple terms means making technology more user-friendly, is a highly prioritised development. In a press release the company said that the restructuring of Nokia provided an opportunity to hire experienced personel in HMI development. "Our aim is to hire about 20 HMI specialists. So far we have recruited about 10 and more are on their way," says Nikolaj Nöhr Rasmussen, manager of the newly established Copenhagen office.
