Jabil to cut 600 jobs in Kwidzyn, Poland

It’s official; Jabil will release 600 people at their facility in Kwidzyn, Poland.

The Director of the District Labour Office in Kwidzyn, Jerzy Bartnicki, says that the organization has received a letter from Jabil detailing the future job losses. According to the statement the 600 job cuts will affect only temporary staff, however a Union representing Jabil employees has told a Polish paper that full-time workers will be asked to take a 20 percent salary decrease due to internal restructuring. President of Jabil Poland, Marek Bania, has not commented on the affair. Earlier this month evertiq received information regarding potential job losses at Jabil, Kwidzyn. At the time the District Labour Office in Kwidzyn estimated that Jabil, based on figures from local employment agencies, would not renew around 2000 temporary jobs.
