Vacon to cut 45 jobs

The announcement today follows personnel negotiations started on 19 December 2011. The company said it willl terminate 19 employees, not extend 13 fixed-term contracts and terminate 13 jobs through voluntery arrangments. An agreement was also reached on an option for temporary lay-offs for a total of 20 working days that can be taken during April-December of 2012 as well as on an option for temporary lay-offs for a maximum of 10 working days during the first quarter of 2013. Vacon has 750 employees in Vaasa, Tampere and Vantaa.
