Finland chose Dutch biometrics
Finland's Ministry of Interiors has chosen Dutch biometrics for its biometric passports.
The Swedish company ACSC's Finnish subsidiary Suomen PA Segenmark Oy and the Dutch company Sdu Identification has through a joint venture entered an agreement with the Finnish authorities of supplying biometric passport solutions. The deal is valid from 2006 to 2010 with an option on an extension of two years. The value of the deal is expected to be at least 12 MEUR spread over four years.
