Vontronics invests in ACE selective soldering system

Vontronics, an EMS provider located in Incheon, South Korea, has chosen a KISS‐102 selective soldering system to augment their soldering capabilities.

Vontronics, a division of local equipment distributor UniSMT, has three lines of SMT and mixed technology assembly and offers a wide range of electronics assembly services at its Gunpo‐si, Gyeonggi‐do facility. The system chosen, a KISS‐102, is an automated, low cost selective soldering machine using the proven "traveling mini–solder wave". It is used to replace the high labor cost of hand soldering through‐hole components on SMT boards without disturbing nearby SMT components. This process overcomes the limitations of operator‐dependent soldering with a flexible automated flux application and molten solder delivery system. Mr. Soonvon Choi, President of Vontronics, said “We are certain that our new ACE Selective soldering machine will help improve efficiency with all secondary soldering functions following SMT processes. We also look forward to the added benefits of consistent solder cycle times and quality solder joints.”
