Foxconn still troubled by workers deaths
A young woman fell to death from a dormitory building at Foxconn's manufacturing facility in the Henan province (China).
The intern from a local technical school - identified by Xinhua as Niu Xiaobei - slipped and fell from the sixth-floor of the building at 3 in the afternoon. Local media reports (citing the city government's information office as a source) that she was trying to hang her laundry outside a window at the Foxconn complex in Zhengzhou.
A 21 year old has also reportedly jumped to his death in July in Shenzhen.
Foxconn has been scrutinized after a string of suicides (evertiq reported) at its manufacturing complex in Shenzhen (China), where the EMS-giant employs around 400'000 staff.
The Taiwanese EMS-provider employs around 1.2 million staff world wide. Around 1 million employees are based in mainland China.
