Becom expands in Hungary

Austria-based EMS-provider Becom Electronics is to expand capacities at their Hungarian manufacturing unit.

Becom Electronics Hungary is to invest around HUF 480 million (EUR 1.8 million) in the construction of a new production hall. The EMS-provider operates a manufacturing base in Tatabánya (NW Hungary). This is partly financed through a HUF 144 million (EUR 540'000) EU grant. Furthermore, the EMS-provider also plans on spending HUF 820 million (EUR 3 million) on technology upgrades, local media reports. The new production capacity will also result in 20 additional jobs at the facility. The company currently employs 80 staff.
