Rambus signs patent license agreement with Toshiba

This five year agreement covers Toshiba’s products with DRAM memory controllers for SDR, DDR, DDR2, DDR3, and other DRAM devices. Rambus will receive royalty payments based on the shipment of these memory controllers. “Toshiba is a recognized leader of the global semiconductor industry, committed to providing its customers with state-of-the-art solutions,” said Sharon Holt, senior vice president and general manager of the Semiconductor Business Group at Rambus. “We are very pleased to continue our long and valuable relationship with Toshiba, who soon after our founding became Rambus’ first licensee.”
