Leica's semiconductors sold
Leica Microsystems is selling its semiconductor business to the American finance investor Golden Gate Capital.
Golden Gate Capital is now taking over the entire business of Leica's semiconductors including the manufacturing facilities in Wetzlar, Weilburg, Jena and Cambridge in England. The size of the workforce will according to the two companies remain.
